At BioMarin they create medicine that is injected into people that helps their cells get rid of waste because that part of their cell no longer works. They are targeting many types of specialized diseases such as dwarfism. During the tour I learned that bio reactors grow cells, and that laminar flow hoods help to sterilize the liquid. What I liked about the trip was seeing all the really cool machines and how intricate they were and how complicated they worked. I would like to learn more about what colleges the scientists went to and what they studied, and how they got to the position they are in now.
